New Website Goes Live

We’re pleased to announce that the new release of Handset Detection is out the door. ! Yee Har ! This release features, in no specific order :

• About 400 new devices.
• A massive Device List .
• Much improved device matching for ‘close’ hits.
• A sexy new website look.
• A forum, and obligatory blog.
• OpenID login – Its beta but do give it a try.
• Squashed a few bugs in the doco.
• We’ve enhanced logging so that its easier for us to help you debug :) (Ok thats more for us).
• Improved browser and OS detection for the stats.

Specific API bug fixes :

• XML replies are now properly UTF-8 encoded.
• GEO Location now returns ISP/Carrier information correctly.

Coming Soon :

• Report mechanism for inaccurate devices.
• Create new devices.
• Much better stats ! (halleluiah).
